The Neustrelitz Slavic Village, a living history and adventure world, is located directly on Lake Zierk. Slavic culture is not only shown here, but actively lived - with reconstructed clay huts, traditional crafts and a site that is ideal for events such as Kolovoz.
Experience how the Slavs lived in our region around 1000 years ago, how they designed their houses and practiced their crafts.
Craftsmen and artists invite you to join in and get creative in clay and wooden huts. For example, you can learn about historical techniques such as pottery, felting and blacksmithing. You can also make candles from beeswax, weave baskets, carve swords or create beautiful souvenirs from soapstone.
Did you know that the Slavs worshipped the weather god "Perun" for sun and rain? If he is well-disposed towards you, then nothing stands in the way of a round trip on the lake with the faithfully reproduced Slavic boat "Nakon" - rowing requires your own muscle power.
