Concert with singer, musician and lyricist Pascal Finkenauer at Kittchen from 8 pm on 13.12.2025
Singer, musician and lyricist Pascal Finkenauer has been producing musically multi-layered albums and EPs for years - always with that special song lyric that leaves plenty of room for interpretation. Pascal usually records his music alone, sometimes accompanied by his live band "Das Licht".
He releases through his own label, so he is completely independent. Accordingly, his music is created in an unhindered creative flow, is versatile and varied, and the press describes Pascal Finkenauer's music and lyrics as punk-chanson, beatnik-rock'n'roll, psychedelic singer-songwriter-wave.
The entire repertoire also includes the offbeat, defying the mainstream, despite the recurring penchant for great melodies: ambient music, spoken word pieces, electronic excursions and lyrics that attempt to break new ground in pop.
In his acoustic solo shows, he impresses with sharp-edged observations, lyrics set to music and rebellious departures. In songs like "Spinnen" , "Scherben" or "Verrosteter Revolver" he sings in a versatile way, accompanying himself on the guitar - songs to break open, reflect and immerse yourself in.
Pascal Finkenauer, who now lives in Hamburg after spending his youth in Lüneburg, began releasing music as a teenager. Coming from the local post-hardcore/punk scene, then as singer and guitarist of the electro collective JAW, successful in alternative and indie music circles, or the highly acclaimed punk duo THE BLACK CHERRIES.
His charismatic voice is also known from the chorus of the Fettes Brot hit "An Tagen wie diesen", in whose live band, as a hip-hop career changer, he repeatedly acted as guitarist and singer until they disbanded.
As a solo artist, he has been releasing music since 2005, primarily via his own label, and publishes poetry on his poetry blog and through self-publishing.
His latest album ZOO BLUE was released in March 2025. The album was composed, recorded and produced by him.
