A story about a musician who tries to track down a girl he met at a college party, throwing the entire campus into chaos in the process.
United Kingdom 2026, Director: Alicia McDonald, Runtime: 111 minutes
Starring: Angourie Rice, Spike Fearn, Ella Maisy Purvis, Julia Rogers, and others
When did everyone become so cynical when it comes to love? Lacking experience, Owen isn’t exactly an expert in matters of the heart. Perhaps that’s precisely why his view of all things romantic is so unclouded and optimistic. This comes into play in McDonald’s film when the 23-year-old—who, following his mother’s death, still lives in his parents’ house with his brother and his brother’s friends and works as a sound engineer at the university because he can’t afford to pay for his studies—meets the woman of his dreams at a college party. Sparks fly as they flirt and dance, but then his beloved, dressed in a fairy costume, has to rush off to the next party, and Owen is left behind with nothing but a name and a phone number—which, as it turns out, is missing a digit. Accident or on purpose?
