Vacation activity day for children aged 6 and over
Due to its grace and strength, the red deer is known as the "king of the forest". It is the largest mammal living in the wild in Germany and this year's Wild Animal of the Year.
It is impressive not only because of its mighty antlers, which can reach a weight of 15 kg, but also because of its body weight of up to 250 kg. Even though it is known as the "king of the forest", the red deer is actually not originally a forest dweller. You can find out why this is the case and what the roaring in the fall is all about on our vacation activity day.
