Season-Opening Celebration for Everyone
Our traditional season-opening celebration is growing into an all-day festival for everyone. Together with artists, staff, and Rostock’s communities, we’re celebrating the start of the new season. Over coffee and cake, casual table conversations provide a chance to get to know one another before the popular season-opening show offers a glimpse into the program and introduces new faces at the Volkstheater. Workshops ranging from parkour to Zumba liven up the forecourt, which transforms into a piazza in the evening: Everyone will dine together at a long table before Cindy Weinhold and her band present a “Best of Summer Musicals” and invite everyone to dance. DJs will get the forecourt buzzing once again in the evening and provide the musical finale under the open sky.
