“Consciously Good Vibes—A Path to It” is the title of Jeanine’s book, published in 2024. And that is exactly what the Jeanine Vahdiek Band aims to achieve with its concerts. Their fifth album, “Kitschig Wunderbar,” once again strikes right at the heart and soul. Through their unique music and refreshing style, it becomes immediately clear: no matter how your day went, this “Good Mood” tour works.
The unusual sounds of the orchestral harp, blended with vocals, countless percussion instruments, ukulele, ukulele bass, and Hawaiian guitar, allow each song to blossom with new facets. It brings to mind reggae, pop, jazz, and singer-songwriters. A concert by the band is therefore highly entertaining and captivates the audience above all through the chemistry between the two musicians. The fact that the duo’s fingers, arms, and legs produce the most diverse sounds in almost surreal combinations fascinates the audience. When Jeanine Vahldiek and Steffen Haß take the stage, a soothing lightness begins to fill the room. By the time the two begin to play, this energy has long since reached the listener and transports them to another world, where they realize that they themselves can choose to be happy and content. And during their announcements, you find yourself amusedly philosophizing and realizing that the evening—and the Earth—are round, and you head home feeling very content.
Even before they met, life had taken them both around the globe. Their diverse experiences now shape their songs. And the fact that a cheerful day truly brings joy is clearly reflected in their style and music. In 2009, the two musicians founded the JEANINE VAHLDIEK BAND. Their album “Kitschig Wunderbar” was the first to feature exclusively German lyrics. Subsequent releases include “come with me” (2010), “a little courage” (2012), “blank canvas” (2014), and “no hardship” (2017).
