On November 8, SPEICHER_Leute e.V. in Stralsund celebrates 25 years of art, people and machines. There will be art on all floors from 11 am. Highlight: JAZZ with Klima Kalima, who set the house in motion 25 years ago. Come along - we'll be printing all night and celebrating the future!
On November 8/9, 2000, SPEICHER_Leute e.V. occupied the old warehouse on Katharinenberg in Stralsund - with art, ideas and visions. A quarter of a century later, we are celebrating our 25th anniversary: 25 years full of projects, exhibitions, concerts, encounters and machines that have enlivened our spaces.
On Saturday, November 8, 2025, there will be celebrations on all floors from 11 a.m. and the building will once again be filled with art and life. A special highlight: the concert by the jazz band Klima Kalima, which was already part of the first event. What began as a fresh experiment back then has developed into an internationally acclaimed band. Finnish guitarist Kalle Kalima, bassist Oliver Potratz and drummer Oliver Steidle have been playing together musically since 2000 and have created their very own sound between jazz, rock, blues and folk. Their current project "Voyagers Blues" tells the musical story of the space probes Voyager 1 & 2 - and of the loneliness of being eternally on the move.
The young metal band Feed The Flame from Greifswald will be playing as support. Their songs combine hard riffs with deep vocals - raw, loud, honest.
