Jahcoustix

In 2026, Jahcoustix not only celebrates his 25th anniversary, but also releases his 9th studio album. The cosmopolitan spent most of his childhood and youth in Africa, where he discovered reggae at the age of 14. The music provided answers to many of the questions the teenager was confronted with and was the inspiration for his first lyrics and songs. In the years that followed, the dream of one day performing on big stages and playing concerts matured. At the end of the 90s, Jahcoustix returned to Germany and in the following years became an active part of the flourishing reggae scene in Europe and was able to turn his dream into reality. Alongside artists such as Gentleman and Patrice, Jahcoustix became a figure of identification for a new generation of enthusiastic reggae listeners in the early 2000s, and his music was heard far beyond his own country's borders in the years that followed. Festivals such as the famous Montreux Jazz Festival, appearances at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park and extensive tours through Europe, Africa, the USA, South America and New Zealand are among the highlights of his career to date.
Whether solo with his guitar, with his longtime homies Jamaram, or with Gentleman's fantastic Evolution Band, there will be several opportunities to experience Jahcoustix live at home and abroad. The release of the new album is planned for spring 2026.
