A comic concert
Itay Dvori has created a new format with his comic concerts: he sets graphic works by renowned female artists from all over the world to music. He has been attracting a lot of international attention for several years now. Entertaining and thought-provoking at the same time, his concerts move between visual worlds full of humor, adventure, fantasy and poetry.
In his new family program, the composer and pianist has set comic works to music that were made for young people and are also enjoyed by their parents and grandparents, such as Kiste (Wirbeleit & Heidschötter), Herr Elefant und Frau Grau (Baltscheit & Fiedler) or Selma tauscht Sachen (Baltscheit & Becker) as well as the popular classic Vater und Sohn (Ohser, alias e.o.plauen): a colorful and varied mixture of graphic treasures!
As part of the comic week, the theater education department offers various themed workshops for school classes and groups (for more information, contact Karina Paula Kecsek: k.kecsek@tog.de). There is also an exhibition and many books on the subject - in cooperation with the Kunsthaus Neustrelitz, the Kulturquartier Neustrelitz and the bookshop "Frau Rilke".
