Monique Rokitte, a resident of Schwaan, traveled through 17 European countries for 11 months in a motorhome with her husband, her two school-age children, and her dog. In her book, she recounts adventures both big and small, the courage to set out, the bureaucratic hurdles, and school requirements—and how much joy in life comes from truly living your own dream.
The book is more than a travelogue. It describes not only impressive places, experiences in nature, and cultural encounters, but also the journey itself: the decision to set out as a family, to overcome organizational challenges, and to involve the children in this big step. It is a story about solidarity and the question of how a self-determined life as a family can succeed.
At the Literatur-Café, Monique Rokitte will read from her book, give a short talk, and take time for questions and conversation.
