"How Mrs. Ghula and Mr. Ifrit once had a contest"
Fairy tales from lamp and bottle - Oriental stories and wisdom for an adult audience
It's Demon King Asmodeus' birthday and he's celebrating with everything that goes with demons. But when midnight comes around, the birthday boy suddenly wants to hear fairy tales. Asmodeus decides that there should be a contest between the two demons, which he will decide in person. The winner will be honored, the loser will receive a punishment squat in the amphora. Unfortunately, the two opponents have a spicy past...
Fairy tales often tell of the fear of the unknown - of dark places, strange figures and menacing creatures. But they do not stop at this fear. Their heroes learn to look behind outward appearances, to show respect and to understand the supposedly strange. Fairy tales show that there is often humanity, wisdom or unexpected help hidden behind the seemingly strange. If you listen carefully, you will discover a timeless message: openness and compassion lead further than exclusion.
