The Luisen Memorial at Hohenzieritz Castle is open to the public free of charge on International Museum Day.
The fate and early death of the Prussian Queen Luise at Hohenzieritz Palace is still moving today. In the memorial, visitors can learn about the history of the rooms and the queen's last days in her father's castle.
Author Frank Pergande will present his new novel "Die Hofdame der Königin Luise " (Queen Luise's Lady-in-Waiting ) at 3 p.m. in the castle's Egyptian Hall and provide a literary insight into life at the Prussian court. Various people from the queen's circle will bring everyday court life in the 19th century to life.
The Luisen Memorial is open on this day from 10 am to 5 pm. The memorial and participation in the reading are free of charge on International Museum Day. Registration is not required.
