The Güstrow City Museum cordially invites you to a special day full of discoveries. Look forward to exciting insights, music and a varied program for young and old.
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. - The museum opens its doors free of charge.
Explore the exhibition at your own pace and look forward to a colorful program.
The cathedral, which celebrates its 800th anniversary this year, is an important testimony to the town's history and still characterizes the Barlach town of Güstrow today as a landmark and lively place for encounters and culture.

Attractive prizes will be raffled off among all participants, such as tickets for the Art Night on October 2, 2026 and credit for the GüstrowCard.
The puzzle can be solved not only on Museum Day, but also until May 31, 2026.
The winners will be notified in June. All information can be found in the museum.
1 p.m. - Opening of the special exhibition
"The cathedral in the historical literature of past centuries" by Mayor Sascha Zimmermann.
On display are historical printed works on the development and history of the cathedral from the museum's collection, supplemented by private loans.
Followed by a lecture by Dr. Dieter Pocher

3 p.m. - Performance by the BarlachBeat choir
Pop, rock, funk and soul in the museum
5 p.m. - Organ music in the parish church with cantor Angelika Ohse
Accompanying program from 11 a.m. in the municipal gallery Wollhalle
With films about the castle construction site and a painting table for children.
Food and drink will also be provided with bratwurst, coffee and cake.
