The exhibition featuring works by Angela Preusz-Löschenkohl brings together portraits, drawings, and paintings from various series.
Angela Preusz-Löschenkohl has been working as a freelance painter, designer, and conceptual artist since 1984. Her works have been exhibited in Germany, Italy, Portugal, and the United States.
The exhibition brings together portraits, drawings, and paintings from various series. It focuses on an exploration of femininity as a space of experience situated between memory, everyday life, and individual perception. The women depicted do not appear as ideals, but as bearers of history, identity, and lived experience. A characteristic feature is the intervention in the canvas through cuts, stitches, and material alterations. The image becomes a site of inscribed experiences. This gives rise to works that engage with perception, memory, physicality, and the conditions of visibility.
The title refers to the Renaissance concept of “Disegno Interno,” which describes the inner conception of a work of art.
The exhibition invites visitors to discover new perspectives on identity, origin, and femininity.
