Concert on the main stage as part of the Ahrenshoop Jazz Festival

The Stockholm-born singer and pianist has established herself as one of the leading names in Scandinavian jazz. Her music captivates with its warm, soulful depth and is the perfect complement to her expressive voice, which is often compared to the big names in soul. Ida Sand has been inspiring audiences since the early 2000s with her gift for combining musical genres in a personal and authentic way, as her six albums released to date impressively prove.

After studying at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Ida Sand quickly made a name for herself internationally with her blend of jazz, soul and gospel, collaborating with artists such as Nils Landgren and Joe Sample and releasing several acclaimed albums, including "Meet Me Around Midnight" (2007), "My Soul Kitchen" (2018) and "Do You Hear Me?" (2021). While her albums are usually characterized by fairly evenly distributed jazz, pop and folk influences, "My Soul Kitchen" was entirely characterized by her deep connection to soul music, while "Do You Hear Me" is a classic songwriter's work.

An extremely versatile artist with a unique and extraordinary voice!
