5th Redefin Drag Hunt Ride with the Frankenmeute on October 10, 2026
The Redefin drag hunt ride is entering its fifth year: On October 10, 2026, the Redefin State Stud, in collaboration with the Frankenmeute, once again invites you to a special equestrian experience through the autumnal landscape surrounding Redefin and the Lübtheener Heide. Experienced hunt riders, as well as riders confident in cross-country riding, can look forward to a traditional ride, while horse-drawn carriage rides offer interested guests the opportunity to experience the hunt up close. Look forward to a day filled with equestrian tradition, camaraderie, and breathtaking natural scenery.

Preparatory training sessions can be booked through the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Riding and Driving School.

Important note for all participants:
Please check in at the hunt office in the Portal Hall before the hunt begins and have your ticket ready. You will receive your participant wristband there.
Start of the hunt: approx. 11:00 a.m.
End of the event: approx. 4:00 p.m.
Prices
Participation as a rider: €60.00 per person
Participation as a carriage passenger in a Kremser (pulled by a team of horses or a tractor): €60.00 per person
Participation as a carriage passenger with your own carriage: €60.00 per person
Straw stall: €30.00 per stall per day
Wood shavings stall: €45.00 per stall per day
Stalls must be booked online according to the desired number of overnight stays.
Important Safety Notice
Participation in the hunting ride is at your own risk. Attention is expressly drawn to the risks associated with hunting rides.
The organizer, the hunting lords, and the participants themselves are not liable for any personal injury, property damage, or financial loss resulting from the typical and inherent dangers of hunting on horseback. Furthermore, the organizer and the hunting lords are not liable for damages caused by slight negligence on the part of the organizer, the hunting lords, or their agents. The organizer and participants are liable for property damage only in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence. Participating riders are required to provide proof of valid liability insurance for themselves and their horses. The horses used must be free of infectious diseases and have valid vaccinations in accordance with applicable veterinary regulations. Wearing a suitable riding helmet is mandatory. Wearing a protective vest is strongly recommended. All participants must observe the traditions and applicable hunting rules of the Schleppjagdverein Frankenmeute e.V.
Information
• Children up to and including age 3 are admitted free of charge but are not entitled to their own seat and must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult.
• No restrooms are available during the carriage and open-top carriage rides.
• Please do not bring dogs onto the stud farm grounds on the day of the event.
Travel Information:
Traveling without a horse: The free guest parking lot is located to the right in front of the stud farm.
Traveling with a horse: Parking for horse-drawn carriages is available at the New Parade Ground / access via Gate 5; the reserved guest stalls are located in Barn 2
