Printmaking
Falko Behrendt, born in Torgelow, West Pomerania in 1951, studied at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts from 1971-75 under Prof. Günter Horlbeck and Prof. Gerhard Kettner. Since obtaining his diploma as a painter and graphic artist, he has worked as a freelance artist. The artist became known through countless solo exhibitions and participation in exhibitions at home and abroad. He has received several awards, including the "100 Selected Graphics" prize in the GDR in 1980/83, the Graphics Prize of the Mainz Art Association in 1991 and the Graphics Prize of the International Senefelder Foundation in 1999. Falko Behrendt lives and works in Lübeck. The Kunstverein presents his Rostock city views in cooperation with KUNST + RAHMEN Jürgen Fuhrmann.
