A concert woven from tango, samba, classical, folk, electronic, a touch of minimal, and classical themes. Techno grooves for energy, folk elements for atmosphere, and original compositions and improvisations for all the senses—now for the last time in Schmadebeck.
Under the name L’art de Passage, musicians Stefan Kling (piano), Tobias Morgenstern (accordion), and Wolfgang Musick (bass) have been playing together for over 25 years. They push their skills and their joy of playing to the very limits. They approach both well-known pieces and their own compositions with irreverence and skill. Surprising improvisations give way to minimalist motifs—classical music transforms into jazz.
The string quartet has known each other since their youth; they have gone through several artistic phases together. The four musicians have long served as accompanists for a wide variety of concert and CD productions by the group L’art de Passage, as well as for the Theater am Rand. In this program, they play their own part—as a contrast, as accompaniment, as an orchestra, as sound, as atmosphere, as a symphonic element…
