Course in theory and practice on how to behave at historically valuable dive sites.
Shipwrecks: more than just diving destinations?!
For all divers for whom shipwrecks and other archaeological sites are not just diving destinations, but evidence of our history that must be protected and explored, the Diving for Monuments course is designed.
It is based on the SK Denkmalgerechtes Tauchen of the VDST and is certified accordingly. Participants are introduced to the various manifestations of archaeological features and given examples of how to recognize them and behave correctly on site. Participants also learn how to deal with new finds and how to report them correctly to the relevant heritage authorities.
The course usually lasts two days and includes two diving trips and theoretical training. Depending on the organizer and your wishes, the course can be supplemented by individual diving trips.
Further information and registration options can be found at www.uwa-mv.de in the Training section.
