Solo Piano
The days between Christmas and New Year’s have their own magic: the past lingers, while the future remains open. It is a time of tranquility, reflection, and new beginnings. Henning Schmiedt is dedicating a solo concert to this special moment, featuring selected works from his ten solo piano albums. The focus is on the 15th anniversary of his album “Spazieren,” which was released on the Japanese label flau and is now being released on vinyl for the first time. At the same time, he will present music from his latest album, “Music for drei,” for the first time in Germany. In this album, piano, field recordings, and a collaboration with the Japanese artists Sari and Natsuko Mizushima blend into an atmospheric sonic experience. A concert that invites you to pause—poetic, moving, and full of anticipation for what’s to come.
