Heidi, the Mountains, and a Great Adventure: The beloved children's book brought to life as an enchanting family ballet about friendship, home, and the power that unites us.
One girl, two worlds, and a longing for the place where her heart belongs: With *HEIDI*, the Deutsche Tanzkompanie brings a touching family ballet to the stage this October.
Heidi grows up happily with her grandfather in the Swiss mountains. Amid blooming alpine meadows, fresh mountain air, and her friendship with Peter, she enjoys a carefree childhood. But when she is taken to Frankfurt to keep the sickly Klara company, her life changes completely. Far from nature and her familiar home, Heidi must learn to find her way in a strange world.
With her openness, compassion, and unshakable zest for life, she touches the people around her and gives them new hope. In the end, it becomes clear that home is far more than just a place—it is wherever connection, friendship, and love find their place.
A ballet for the whole family—full of warmth, lightheartedness, and touching moments—that brings the magic of one of the most famous children’s classics back to life in a fascinating way.
