The Heideberg, a small hill located in the heart of “Alt-Baabe,” becomes the scene of the Baltic resort festival once a year, drawing people from the beach and the promenade into the cozy lower village. Numerous Baabe clubs provide regional delicacies such as grilled meats and fresh fish sandwiches to satisfy everyone’s appetite. There’s also a wide selection of drinks: from coffee and soft drinks to refreshing fruit punch and long drinks, right down to the classic cold Pilsner—there’s something for every taste.
Accompanied by a varied musical stage program, visitors celebrate the Heidebergfest well into the late evening hours. Originally a small gathering for the village community, the festival has evolved into a popular attraction that, year after year, also delights numerous tourists.
