The Heideberg, a small hill located in the heart of “Alt-Baabe,” becomes the center of the Baltic resort once a year, drawing people from the beach and the promenade into the cozy lower village. Numerous Baabe clubs provide refreshments, including regional delicacies such as grilled meats and fresh fish sandwiches. There’s also a wide selection of drinks: from coffee and soft drinks to refreshing fruit punch and long drinks, right down to the classic cold Pils—there’s something for every taste.
Accompanied by a varied musical stage program, visitors celebrate the Heidebergfest well into the late evening hours. Originally a small gathering for the village community, the festival has evolved into a popular attraction that delights numerous tourists year after year.
