On January 23, from 10 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., the Adult Education Center and the Bergen City Museum on Rügen invite you to a workshop celebrating Handwriting Day at the Bergen City Museum. Museum Director Marika Emonds will showcase the handwritten documents in the museum’s collection.
Afterward, join instructor Regina B. Apitz for a brief exploration of the magic of German cursive (Sütterlin)! We’ll write short texts using the letters your grandparents would have recognized and—if you’d like—read letters from your family archives!
Please bring graph paper, your usual writing utensil, and—if you’d like—handwritten documents from your own collection!
