Through previous tours, collaborations with film composers such as Peter Hinderthür, and work with the Hamburg Ballet, Louis L. is already firmly established in the music scene. Numerous concerts, online performances, and festival appearances have also contributed to his success. A degree in music, a wide range of instrumental training, and courses in music production form the foundation for the extraordinary soundscapes created by this Hamburg-based musician.
The handpan is a new Swiss musical instrument that was first introduced in 1999 by instrument makers Felix Rohner and Sabina Schärer. It looks like two metal bowls glued together. The instrument is now world-renowned and widely acclaimed. Due to its relatively recent origins, it always appears in a new light, depending on the setting and the performer. It is already being called the musical instrument of the 21st century.
