A ceremony featuring a film screening, live music, and regional delicacies
To kick off the 22nd Darß Nature Film Festival, we invite you to The Grand Hotel in Ahrenshoop. There, a film concert titled “Wild Art—Are Animals Creative?” will set the mood for this year’s festival program. While the film is shown on the big screen, an ensemble will perform the film’s score live on stage. Afterward, guests can enjoy a buffet featuring regional delicacies from The Grand Hotel.

Could it be that the roots of our art stretch far back into the animal kingdom? And if so, what do animals gain from it? As we know, art requires effort and takes time. Nothing but disadvantages in the struggle for survival—or so it seems at first glance. But when dance, song, and architecture become arts of seduction, then it pays off.
