Celebration evening for Benny Andersson's 80th birthday
with soloists of the Baltic Sea Philharmonic and Lemon Squeezy (vocal quartet)
ABBA songs
When Agnetha Fältskog, Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus and Anni-Frid Lyngstad came together in 1972 to form a new pop group, the greatest success story of Sweden as a music country began: ABBA. For more than ten years, the quartet produced one global hit after another - songs that still bring every generation to the dance floor today.
In this concert, they are revived in a very special constellation: the soloists of the Baltic Sea Philharmonic, active ensemble members of the cross-border orchestra of the ten Baltic Sea states, which was awarded the European Culture Prize as the artistic centerpiece of the Usedom Music Festival in 2015, meet Lemon Squeezy - the Swedish vocal quartet, newly crowned Barbershop World Champion 2025, which cultivates the vocal culture of its homeland in the finest line.
Baltic Sea sound à la Baltic Sea Philharmonic meets four-part vocal writing from the land of ABBA's creators: an evening that will also be a celebration - for the 80th birthday of the musical genius Benny Andersson.
