Designing jewelry, preserving history - a creative course with Katalin Baruth
An old piece of silver cutlery, an heirloom from a jewelry box or a forgotten find with emotional value: in this special course, old pieces of silver are given a new lease of life. Under the expert guidance of goldsmith and restorer Katalin Baruth, individual pendants are created - designed, cast and made by the participants themselves.
Participants will learn the basics of the lost wax process, create their own casting mold and melt down silver they have brought with them to create their own unique piece. The course not only offers practical knowledge in the field of jewelry design, but also the opportunity to transform material with a history into a new, wearable work of art.
Please note:
Silver jewelry or silver cutlery (real silver) must be brought along.
Participation by registration only!
