Gitte Haenning started in show business at the age of 8. She had her first big German hit in 1963 with the song "Ich will 'nen Cowboy als Mann". Awards such as the Golden Record and other hits followed, including the song "Vom Stadtpark die Laternen", which Gitte sang together with Rex Gildo and which made them the dream couple of the 60s. The change of image to a serious pop interpreter at the beginning of the 80s and as a musical interpreter in the 90s brought her the attention of critics and a wider audience. She scored big hits again, such as "Ich bin stark" in 1982 and "Ich will alles" in 1983. At the same time, Gitte Haenning repeatedly made musical excursions into jazz and the folk music of her native Denmark. Her great band guarantees the perfect accompaniment.
