The aesthetics of dance and its emotional content - exhibition by Christian Kabuß with reference to the therapeutic approach of the Neuroklinikum Waldeck
A new exhibition of paintings and drawings by the artist Christian Kabuß is now on display at the Neuroclinics Waldeck under the title "Get moving - dance". The exhibition invites visitors to experience movement not only as a physical act, but also as an expression of inner processes and creative energy.
The works show an artistic development: from quieter, almost contemplative body studies to the study of movement and interpersonal relationships in large-format drawings to dynamic, color-intensive depictions of dance. This creates an arc of tension that reveals both the aesthetics of dance and its emotional content - a theme that is closely linked to the clinic's therapeutic work.
Christian Kabuß, who has lived in Altkalen since 2010, studied at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee, among others. He found inspiration for this series of works at the BIG Butohfestival 2024 in Bröllin and 2025 in collaboration with the young dance group "Feuer" from Tanzeleven Teterow.
