German Mill Day

Whit Monday is Mill Day - we open the Backhausmühle!

On the annual German Mill Day, which traditionally takes place on Whit Monday, numerous mills throughout Germany open their doors - including our Backhausmühle!

In Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the Mühlenverein MV e. V. looks after looks after over 300 mills, including water, wind and motorized mills. Around 240 of them are listed buildings - an important cultural heritage that can still be experienced today.

On Whit Monday, from 11 am to 5 pm, the Backhausmühle will be open to interested visitors. Members of the working group offer exciting guided tours and provide insights into the history and function of the mill.

Food and drink will also be provided: coffee and cake will be served.
