German Beachsoccer League 2026 - 2nd collective match day
Never seen before: Germany's best teams come to Karlshagen
The German Beach Soccer League will hold a match day on Usedom for the first time and has chosen the beach in Karlshagen for the event. Beach soccer is a sport affiliated with the German Football Association (DFB) and the winner of this competition can call themselves German champion. The big difference to the Bundesliga: the eight teams meet on three match days and play nine championship matches at three locations. The first match day was in Munich, the second on 11/12 July in Karlshagen and the third in Warnemünde. In short: all teams pitch their tents on Usedom.
Of course, Karlshagen has experience with beach soccer thanks to years of cooperation with Hohensee United (the only beach soccer club in Western Pomerania hosted its 12th Beach Soccer Cup in Karlshagen just the week before). Good contacts aroused the DFB's curiosity. And so one thing led to another... - and the DBL came to the Karlshagen coast for the first time.
The reigning German champions and cup winners Beach Royals Düsseldorf, the 2024 champions Bavaria Beach Bazis from Munich, the internationally experienced Real Münster (fourth in the world rankings) and the German record champions, the Rostock Seals, are expected to take part. Also taking part are: Hertha BSC Berlin, the Golden Goalers Fauerbach, the Beach Boyz Waldkraiburg - and Hohensee United.
