All members were born in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and still live here! Gerd Brummund, also known by his stage name Willi Freibier, has been writing High and Low German songs for many years. These have been very successful on the radio, on television, on YouTube and on various social media platforms in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and beyond. In August 2025, the three musicians Gerd Brummund (Git, Voc), Thomas Braun (Violin, Horn, Voc) and Jens Rosengarten (Bass, Voc) decided to form this group. The merger is based on decades of experience in successful band and solo projects as well as their collaboration in the group "Folk-GBr. & co Kg". The three founding members of " Folk-GBr. & co Kg" ( FOLK - Gerd Brummund & coole Kollegen) have re-formed under the name "Gerd Brummund & coole Kollegen" and present their own songs as well as songs from various musical genres that they have arranged for their program at their events. The announcement of the titles is performed by a relaxed, light, humorous and North German moderation.
