We invite you to a guided walk through the Lenné Park at Varchentin Palace
The park was laid out as an English garden by the famous Prussian garden architect Peter Joseph Lenné in 1838. Despite poor maintenance, the park has largely retained its original character. It is characterized by its lines of sight between the castle and the lake, the large meadow and the space-creating, backdrop-like tree plantings.
Dieter Schröder, who designed the show garden at Tiefwarensee, among other things, will guide us through the park and explain Lenné's design principles using specific examples.
The walk will take about 1.5 hours, after which we can have a picnic together at the bathing area with something to bring along.
Participation is free of charge, a small donation is welcome. Registration is not required.
Meeting point: Kleiner Varchentiner See bathing area.
In case of bad weather, the walk will be postponed (current information at https://peeneplatte.de/veranstaltungen/gartenspaziergang-fuehrung-durch-den-lenne-park-varchentin/).
