Magdalena Kriss (accordion) and Dan Wall (banjo, violin) play and sing rousing folk, world and roots music from Europe and North America with two strong, multi-faceted voices.

Tante Friedl is an uncompromisingly rousing folk, world and roots duo from Berlin, who create an unexpected band sound with accordion, banjo, fiddle and two powerful voices that takes the hearts of every audience by storm.
Dedicated to the joy and power of musical encounters, the duo's repertoire is a living map of their travels - from their roots in Bavaria and North America through the folk traditions of Europe. In doing so, they always remain themselves in a unique way: Tante Friedl.
The duo believes that through personal connections and musical exchange among like-minded people, celebrating and respecting diverse musical traditions can strengthen both personal identity and a sense of global connectedness in an increasingly divided world.
