Romanian Rhapsody and the French Beethoven
The Rossini Strings will whisk you away to France, England and especially Romania in the fantastic acoustics of Schloss Kölzow.
Revel in the Air from the English Suite by Hubert Parry. Be surprised by the exhilarating effervescence of the String Quartet No. 1, "The Gaelic" by the 14-year-old Gabriel Brzoska, a leading student at the HMT and winner of numerous prizes and composer of several works for large orchestra. In addition, the rediscovery of the French "Beethoven" George Onslow, who was born in England and lived in France, is a real feast for the ears. Let yourself be carried away by the highly virtuoso Passacaglia by Johan Halvorsen based on a theme by George Frideric Handel.
Finally, immerse yourself in the legendary Romanian world of peasant dances, Tanz in den Mai, Csardas and the rousing Romanian Rhapsody by George Enescu. When listening to this lively music, not a leg remains still on the floor and everyone intuitively wants to dance along. That's why we also listen to the lively "Tritango" by our violinist Mihai Belu.
