The cabinet exhibition "From musicians' estates to princesses' letters - new acquisitions for the historical collections" shows special items from these new acquisitions: princely manuscripts, the manuscript of a poet printer from Schwerin or a paper fan with illustrations of Schwerin from the 19th century - in 2025, a wide range of materials were collected and secured for research and science. Highlights of the exhibition include items from the estate of the regional church music director and Schwerin cathedral organist Georg Gothe (1895-1973) and a collection of Schwerin prints by the grinder Herbert Koch.
