Reading as part of the festival up platt - Martha Müller-Grählert reading with Ulrike Stern
The West Pomeranian poet Martha Müller-Grählert (1876-1939) was born in Barth 150 years ago. Having become known as the poet of the "Ostseewellenlied" (Baltic Sea Wave Song), she is still known today as a "local poet". However, her work is far more diverse, reflecting the writer's journey at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century from the Fischland-Darß-Zingst Peninsula/Zingst to Berlin and Japan and back to her "home beach". At the reading on June 10, 2026, Ulrike Stern will retrace her life using Low German texts and poems. Free admission
