Filming for Simon Verhoeven’s feature film *Oh, That Void, That Horrible Void* (2025) has successfully wrapped up. The film adaptation of Joachim Meyerhoff’s autobiographical best-selling novel of the same name was shot in Munich, Cologne, and Berlin. Incredibly funny and deeply moving, director and writer Verhoeven tells the story of how difficult it is to confront one’s intense emotions. The film stars Bruno Alexander, Senta Berger, and Michael Wittenborn, with supporting roles played by Katharina Stark, Laura Tonke, Devid Striesow, Anne Ratte-Polle, Friedrich von Thun, Tom Schilling, Johann von Bülow, Moritz Treuenfels, Karoline Herfurth, Victoria Trauttmansdorff, Michael A. Grimm, Maeve Metelka, Dana Herfurth, Max Wolter, Benedikt Kalcher, Momo Beier, Mouataz Alshaltouh, and Frida Lang, in a production by “Komplizen Film” (producers: Janine Jackowski, Jonas Dornbach, Maren Ade) and “Warner Bros. Film Productions Germany,” in co-production with “Hellinger/Doll Filmproduktion.” The film was funded by the Bavarian Film and Television Fund (FFF), the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg (MBB), the German Federal Film Board (FFA), and the Film and Media Foundation NRW.
