I create experimental sculptures and light objects from salvaged oak beams. Historic wood, light and craftsmanship combine to create unique archaic-contemporary pieces.
I am a wood artist with a focus on experimental sculptures and light objects made from old oak beams - each work is unique with character, history and depth.
My works are created from salvaged wood, especially historic oak beams, which I deliberately leave in their original structure or work on specifically to emphasize the interplay between nature and form. In combination with light, I develop sculptural objects that appear both archaic and contemporary - sustainable, sensual and surprising.
My artistic approach is experimental: I combine traditional craftsmanship with a modern, minimalist design in which the material itself becomes the subject. Each piece invites an examination of space, atmosphere and transience.
