Live music in Hagenow
On Friday, April 17, 2026, a fresh breeze will blow through the Alte Synagoge, because the Blowboys are guests in Hagenow: blowing maritime music and shanties from Rostock into the world - that's the mission of the eight coastal boys! They rely on finely tuned vocals in their own arrangements, witty moderation and various instruments. With their interpretations of traditional and international seafaring songs, the graduates of the Rostock University of Music and Drama show how modern, sophisticated and at the same time highly entertaining shanties can be. They have already captured many stages in northern Germany and have appeared regularly on radio and television. Now they are returning to Hagenow to prove just how lively music from the coast can be.
