Experience Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania's underwater cultural heritage digitally and in 3D. www.freiwassermuseum-digital.de
The Freiwassermuseum – digital is a platform that presents archaeological finds from the bottoms of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania’s waterways as virtual 3D models and makes them accessible to the general public. Funded by the Ministry of Science, Culture, Federal and European Affairs of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and supported by the State Office for Culture and Monument Preservation of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the project invites citizens to participate in archaeological research into our underwater cultural heritage. The extensive network behind the Open Water Museum – Digital enables easy access to submerged cultural heritage, allowing for barrier-free exploration of the virtual models. In addition, the project’s editorial team offers citizens, organizations, and associations the opportunity to submit their own models and have them integrated into the platform.
