Mrs. Sonntag, a fallen angel, married for many Christmases now, and her constant companion, rejoice with hands frozen red as they wander through the white winter forest on a quiet night, encountering red-nosed reindeer, feasting their way through the Christmas bakery while letting the snow fall softly. Not only do the candles crackle, but their marital nerves are also on edge.
There aren’t many musical couples out there, and these two are a real asset to the Berlin scene. And if things get rocky at home again—an evening with the two of them is highly recommended as couples therapy.
