It's Bluestime: In the tradition of the multi-award-winning Blue Wave Festival Binz, musicians from the international blues scene will be guests in Binz from 11 to 14 June. There will be plucking, drumming, swinging and singing in many places that will make New Orleans pale with envy.New this year is a session in/at the Müther Tower.
New this year is a very special format: forest bathing with music.
Breathe in. Breathe out. Perceive. Between two intense blues moments, the Granitz invites you to take a conscious breather. Mixed forest. Moss. Wind in the leaves. And music that doesn't rush you.
Forest bathing is not a walk. It is perception. Breathing. Listening - outwards and inwards. We walk through the forest together in a small group, keep our eyes open, our ears alert and at the end, a concert in a class of its own awaits us in the middle of the countryside. Without a stage. Without distance. Just the sound between the trees.
Tim Lothar & Holger "HoBo" Daub (DNK, DEU)
Names such as Robert Johnson, Charley Patton and Mississippi Fred McDowell were and are the recurring inspiration for Tim Lothar, who describes his musical style as Roots & Mississippi Delta Blues. In the duo with Holger "HoBo" Daub, Tim Lothar's innovative slide technique and impressive vocal variance meet dynamic, at times subdued, at times expressive and rousing harmonica playing. Holger "HoBo" Daub's precise improvisations, his song-oriented and emotional playing style enrich the repertoire of his own and cover songs. His colorful blues harp playing with elements of blues, rock, soul, funk and folk is combined with Tim Lothar's virtuoso, creative playing style.
In this cross-border collaboration, two kindred spirits have found each other, a Danish-German blues brotherhood.
