A tribute to Lisl Karlstadt and Karl Valentin presented by the Parktheater Edelbruch
Having reached the autumn of their relationship, Karl and Lisl experience a second spring during their summer getaway. The well-matched couple tries to overcome the hurdles of their vacation and, in doing so, gets caught up in their own mental pitfalls. In this production, the Parktheater Edelbruch explores Valentin’s humor, which is often taken to absurd extremes.
Kristin Giertler and Thomas Kornmann take on the stage roles of Karl Valentin and Lisl Karlstadt. Without using the Bavarian dialect, they revel in twisted logic and absurd wordplay. An evening full of everyday poetry.
