In Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, a fishing license is compulsory from the age of 14. However, the examination to acquire the M-V fishing license for life can be taken from the age of 10. The Anglerverein "An der Recknitz" Marlow e.V. and the Anglerverein Daskow e.V. run several courses each year to prepare for the fishing license examination to obtain a Mecklenburg-Vorpommern fishing license.

Course and examination fee together: for children and young people up to 18 years: €75, for adults: €110
