From 17 to 19 July 2026, the tranquil fishing village of Wieck in Greifswald will be transformed into a vibrant center of maritime life, where visitors can enjoy a varied program on three stages, in the children's area, at markets and promenades, as well as during open ships and boat trips.
Lovers of traditional ships as well as modern and classic yachts can look forward to the 37th Greifswald Gaffelrigg. Around 45 museum ships and modern yachts will pass the Wieck Bridge on Saturday from 13:00.
Sporting competitions will once again be held in Ryckhangeln and canoe polo. In the world championship in Ryckhangeln, participants have to cross the Ryck on a plastic rope. A maritime highlight will be the special discipline of nautical sports, the ZK10 cutter regatta. Teams from Germany will compete for victory in the Danish Wiek.
The festival program on three stages offers fun and games for the whole family as well as partying from the afternoon until the early morning. After the official opening on Friday evening, the legendary SMW Rock and Pop Night starts on the stage at the lido. The band "Boerney and the TriTops" will be performing. The band plays the biggest and best-known party hits of all time.
To kick things off on Friday evening, the "Ryck in Flames" lights up. First, 25 cutters and dragon boats with torches and light elements will glide across the Ryck and dance to classical music on the Ryck. This will be followed by the pyro, laser and light show.
The famous NDR 1 Radio MV Fischerfest Gaffelrigg Party with MARQUESS takes place on Saturday.
The entire festival site in the historic fishing village of Wieck is covered by a funfair with a large selection of colorful rides set against a maritime backdrop. In addition to children's carousels and bumper cars, wilder rides are also on offer. For example, the somersault swing and a 40-meter-high chain flyer soar into the air.
