Jürgen Wiebicke presents his new book "First Aid for Democracy Saviors" on 14.11.2025 and gives us handy rules on how we can defend our democracy in everyday life.
The book: Our liberal democracy is in danger. Right-wing extremist MPs and sympathizers no longer have any inhibitions about openly expressing their views, and they are driving the democratic forces before them. How can we defend our democracy and open society against the increasingly radical and brazen despisers - even beyond the polling booth and large demonstrations? How can we encourage others to join in? Journalist Jürgen Wiebicke provides us with handy rules that each of us can use to get started at any time. On our own doorstep. In everyday life. Because, and we have to remind ourselves of this again and again: democracy cannot be taken for granted, we have to defend it again and again. (Text: Kiepenheuer & Witsch publishing house)
