Film documentary "Spitsbergen"

In the Arctic summer, the two filmmakers Silke Schranz and Christian Wüstenberg plan to circumnavigate Spitsbergen on a fishing trawler converted into an expedition ship. They are fascinated by ice-blue glaciers that calve into the water, sparkling ice sculptures and spectacular hikes through the unique landscape. On their journey through bays and fjords, they encounter reindeer, walruses, blue whales and even polar bears in search of food. The two filmmakers recount their experiences in their film.
