The Stralsund Peace Alliance, in cooperation with the VVN/BdA, will screen a film at St. James’ Church in Stralsund on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 2:45 p.m.: “The Adventures of Werner Holt.” This is an anti-war film from 1964 based on a novel by Dieter Noll.
There will be an opportunity for discussion afterward, moderated by Dr. Marianne Linke.
On June 22, 1941, Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union under the code name “Operation Barbarossa.” The film screening is being held on the eve of the 85th anniversary to commemorate this event. Admission is free.
